Art is a continuous journey for me to explore and express myself. I hope you will enjoy the images as much as I did while creating them.
I began painting after I retired in 1999. I had no formal art training but was fortunate to study with some very fine local artists and continue to do so. I started with oils and a couple of years later discovered watercolor. My newest love is pastel. I enjoy a variety of subjects as you will see on the gallery. Many of my paintings were born from photographs taken while traveling worldwide; however, living in the beautiful San Diego area is a perfect inspiration.
My work has been featured in the International Hotel/Motel and Restaurant Exhibit at the Jacob Javitz Center in New York City and at the Art Expo in New York in 2008. I also participate in the Art Walk in San Diego's Little Italy, the San Diego County Fair, The Rancho Santa Fe Art Fair; The Del Mar Art Stroll as well as various gallery showings and venues where I have won numerous awards. My paintings are in private collections in California, Hawaii, Nevada, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Florida, North Carolina and who knows where else.
